Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been out for over a year, but if you’ve ever played an Assassin’s Creed game, you know how vast their open worlds are. It’s possible to sink 100+ hours into a title easily, and that’s even before the DLC. So, there’s a good chance that you’re still playing the most recent entry in the action adventure franchise – battling, raiding and petting cats across 9th Century England. Or, perhaps you’re thinking of finally jumping into the figurative longship over the festive break.
Well, now there’s an exclusive Valhalla-inspired clothing and fight gear collection to get you in the right sparring spirit. Released just in time for Christmas (Yule festival in the game), this new product range is a partnership between Assassin’s Creed publisher Ubisoft and combat sports brand Venum. Playing up the similarities between combat sports and video games, the product line aims to “transform entertainment fans around the world into modern day Vikings.”
The Venum Valhalla collection, which you can see here, includes a t-shirt (USD $35), sweatshirt ($90), cap ($30), boxing gloves ($99), and joggers ($65). Available right now, the premium products have been developed using sturdy materials like leather, fleece, or ripstop, which are key fabrics from both the Viking and boxing worlds. Evidently the collection is orientated towards men only (boo!), given the size availability and model choice – although the cap and gloves at least appear unisex.
The Venum brand isn’t easily available in South Africa, for the record. That said, the international site does ship to the country, factoring in taxes and duties via a landing page calculator, so you know exactly how much you’ll be spending to import the kit.
The Venum partnership isn’t the first wearables collaboration centred around Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Back in 2021, to coincide with the game’s release, there was a more widely available lifestyle apparel range from Reebok.
