September is always a bit of a contradictory month. In South Africa, it’s all about the cheerful return of spring, while in the Northern Hemisphere, mindsets are switching to pumpkin spice and spooky season. Disney+ is offering a bit of both this month, with a mix of family fare featuring beloved characters, and a highly anticipated new supernatural series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Speaking of scary stuff, here’s your bonus reminder that you can watch every single Alien film on Disney+, including the Alien vs. Predator spin-offs. It’s the ideal set-up if you’re planning on viewing the throwback Alien: Romulus currently in cinemas.

Agatha All Along (Limited Series)

It’s been a while since we’ve been so excited for a new Marvel Television series. Nine-episode Agatha All Along is a dark supernatural comedy and spin-off from WandaVision, still arguably the best and most inventive of the MCU shows, and in fact comes from the same creator, Jac Schaeffer.

In Agatha All Along, infamous witch Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) is finally broken out of her reality-distorting spell by a mysterious teen (Heartstopper’s Joe Locke), and sets out to reclaim her powers. That means walking the Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of deadly trials, for which Agatha will need to assemble a coven of outcasts, played by the familiar faced likes of Sasheer Zamata, Patti LuPone, Debra Jo Rupp and Aubrey Plaza. Looking like unhinged fun, Agatha All Along premieres on Disney+ on 18 September, with its first two episodes. The other seven episodes will be released weekly thereafter, wrapping on 6 November.

LEGO Pixar: BrickToons (Shorts Series)

Two of our favourite things – LEGO and Pixar – combine in LEGO Pixar: BrickToons. In this anthology series of animated shorts, beloved Pixar characters return in LEGO form for all-new adventures. So look out for the Incredibles once more facing Syndrome, Coco’s Miguel, Lightning McQueen and Mater from Cars, Merida and her bratty brothers from Brave, and even Nemo, Marlin, and Dory. The series features a mix of the original voice actors and uncanny stand-ins.

In Vogue: The 90s (Documentary Series)

Disney+ has been killing it with music documentaries in recent months. Now they’re taking a swing at the fashion industry in six-part In Vogue: The 90s, which looks at the game-changing decade in trends. Join Vogue’s Anna Wintour and Edward Enninful, with dozens of fashion and celebrity style icons from the period, as they share their memories, plus expert insights.

In Vogue: The 90s is releasing its episodes in batches. Catch Volume I (Episodes 1-3) on 13 September, while Volume II (Episodes 4-6) drops on 20 September.
