Whether in the mood for tricks or treats, Disney+ is making sure home viewers can find exactly what they want this month. Spooky stuff is paired with energetic dramas, rock documentaries, and the chance to watch the year’s highest grossing film to date.

As for ongoing series, the latest MCU instalment, miniseries Agatha All Along continues its weekly episode drop started in September. The final two episodes of the 9-part show are set for release on 30 October, just ahead of Halloween.

Inside Out 2 (Film)

As Riley enters her teens, new Emotions join well-established Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Fear (Tony Hale) and Disgust (Liza Lapira) – led by Anxiety (Maya Hawke). This leads to all kinds of internal and external upheaval as Riley enters puberty and starts high school.

Mr. Crocket (Film)

Falling under the Disney brand umbrella, Hulu always delivers spooky entertainment come October. This year that includes Mr. Crocket, which turns a well-received horror short into a full-length film. In 1993, kids everywhere are obsessed with VHS children’s show Mr. Crocket. Except, it’s not just colourful fun. Host Mr. Crocket (Elvis Nolasco) magically emerges from television sets to kidnap young children and slaughter their parents. Somehow mom Summer (Jerrika Hinton) survives and must fight back.

Mr. Crocket premieres on 11 October.

It’s not all about horror this month on Disney+. There’s also Rivals, the highly anticipated series based on the novel by Dame Jilly Cooper. Featuring an all-star cast, including David Tennant, Aidan Turner, Katherine Parkinson and Lisa McGrillis, Rivals is set in England during the excessive, affluent 80s, and focuses on the shocking antics of the social elite as they compete in boardrooms and bedrooms for control of an independent television empire.

Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band (Documentary Film)

It’s not the streamer’s most advertised benefit, but Disney+ is home to some superb music industry documentaries. Joining the catalogue this month is Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, a film-length, in-depth look at the behind-the-scenes preparations that went into Springsteen’s 2023-2024 World Tour. Included are backstage moments, rare archival clips and personal reflections from Springsteen himself.
